As we continue our “What about Bob?” learning sessions, Bob’s next lesson is to get a better understanding about how to use Chelsea State Bank’s Mobile Banking App.
For Bob, the whole process seems like something out of a Godfather movie, sitting at the end of a table getting a lesson from a teacher in the shadows. But using a mobile banking app really isn’t spooky.
First: What Is a Mobile App?
Bob learns that a mobile application, most commonly referred to as an app, is a type of application software designed to run on a mobile device, such as his smartphone or tablet computer. Mobile applications will provide Bob with similar services to those accessed on a computer online.
Why Will Mobile Banking Be a Smart Move for Bob?
Bob will save time on trips to the ATM or local banking branch. Yes, Bob learns how mobile banking makes it easy to check his balances, and it allows him to also deposit checks right from his smartphone. Bob gets it. “That’s easy,” he tells his teacher in the shadows.
It Really Is Convenient
Bob can stay on top of his money more quickly and easily than ever. With mobile banking, Bob can be on the go, no longer tied to a home computer, a nearby ATM, or local branch for basic banking needs. Bob can just access his account with a mobile app. It is fast and simple, so it’s easy to do things like double check balances or move funds from one account to another. Bob learned how to stay on top of his finances and it is as easy as picking up his smart phone. He knows he has secure transactions.
So here’s what Bob learned about Chelsea Bank’s mobile banking app. He can:
- Deposit checks
- Check balances and account transaction details
- Make payments to a loan
- Transfer funds or schedule recurring transfers between accounts
