Please meet Stu Mann. Stu is one of those kind-hearted people that everyone feels good when around him, particularly because of his kind spirit and warm smile. Stu started his career at Chelsea State Bank nearly five years ago as a loan processor.
Stu was just promoted to Commercial Loan Representative this month. In his new position, Stu facilitates local business growth by providing financing for building and equipment purchases, new construction opportunities and working capital lines of credit.
In this role, Stu says, “I enjoy working with great people and helping grow and give back to the community I grew up in.”
As many of you may know, Stu is CEO John Mann’s son. So, we asked Stu what that feels like. “It’s definitely a strange experience working back in the building that I used to run around in as a child while visiting my dad. Now my daughter is coming in to visit me during work so it’s cool to see that come full circle. Having watched my dad put in all the hard work he’s done over the years while still being able to be there for his family really makes me appreciate the family atmosphere the Bank has to offer, which is one of the many perks of working at CSB.
Stu says his number one goal for the new year and beyond is to be the best father he can be to his daughter. Stu has certainly had a great role model!
Outside the office, Stu enjoys spending time with friends and family, and especially enjoys spending time at his family’s cabin in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula (U.P.). He also enjoys anything related to Michigan football/basketball, playing video games with friends who live out of the area and board games like Settlers of Catan.
Graduating from Western Michigan University, Stu has a bachelor’s degree in Finance. Stu and his wife Felicia reside in Chelsea with their daughter Heidi (almost 1) and long-haired dachshund named Peter and an Akita/black lab mix named Jalen.
