Emily Schaible

Emily Schaible Meet Emily Schaible, the fourth generation Schaible to work at Chelsea State Bank. As the Human Resource Director and Banking Officer for the Bank, Emily oversees all hiring, training, employee engagement, payroll, and employment law.

Emily began her career with Chelsea State Bank eight years ago while in college. She started working part-time scanning documents for archives. Once she graduated from college, Emily started working full time as a Customer Service Representative. Overtime she began making the transition to Human Resources learning a little at a time while still serving customers as a Customer Service Representative. In 2018, Emily began working full time as a Human Resource Generalist and was promoted to Human Resource Director in 2019.

Graduating from Albion College in 2014, Emily has a bachelor’s degree in economics. She also received her Graduate School of Banking Certificate in Human Resource Management in 2017. A Chelsea native, Emily graduated from Chelsea High School in 2010. She now resides in Ann Arbor.

Emily sits on the United Way Board of Directors and oversees the Finance Committee. Many local residents might recognize Emily as she worked at Silver Maples while in high school. She is also the daughter of David Schaible whom recently retired as President of Chelsea State Bank.

What’s do you like most about your work at the Bank?
I love the coworkers I work with and the customer relationships I have developed.

Do you have a favorite position or story from your time at CSB?
I loved being a customer service representative and being able to develop customer relationships.

What is your favorite pastime?
Spending time with family and friends

What are your hobbies?
Spending time traveling, hiking, and water skiing throughout the summer

What is your favorite food?
Macaroni and cheese

If you were stuck on an island, what would you bring?
Hiking shoes to be able to explore the island

What is your favorite holiday, and why?
Christmas, because of family traditions and being able to spend time with family.
