There are many heroes during this time of Coronavirus, and they come from all walks of life and all types of businesses including our first responders and health care workers. And while they are tending to those in need, we have many heroes here at Chelsea State Bank who are working double time to make sure our customers’ needs are met whether it’s to process a loan or discuss a financial hardship.
One of our heroes today is Mary Lee. She and the Chelsea State Bank lending team are doing an amazing job processing the Payroll Protection Program (PPP) loans.
Mary Lee is Executive Vice President, Commercial Lending with over 38 years of commercial banking experience. She joined Chelsea State Bank as a Vice President of Commercial Lending in 2002. She was promoted to Senior Vice President and Commercial Lending Manager in 2012. In 2018, Mary Lee was elected to the Board of Directors of CSB Bancorp and appointed to her current position.
Prior to joining Chelsea State Bank, Mary Lee worked at National Bank of Detroit (now Chase).
Mary Lee is a Rotarian and on the Board for Chelsea Rotary Club as Treasurer. She also sits on the Boards of Huron Valley Ambulance and UMRC Foundation. Mary Lee is a past officer with the Michigan Bankers Association.
Earning her Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University, Mary Lee also has her Master of Science in Finance from Walsh College. She and her husband Brian reside in Pinckney with their dog Hero. They have two adult children.
Anyone in business today and has commercial accounts with Chelsea State Bank may have conferred with Mary Lee or someone from her commercial team to inquire about the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act that provides a variety of additional emergency relief programs for consumers and businesses, including the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).
Chelsea State Bank is an authorized lender by the SBA to administer the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). Mary Lee is proud to report that her commercial lending team, in an astounding display of teamwork, dedication and long hours in a very short time, completed over 325 Paycheck Protection Program loans with a total value of more than $40 million dollars. These are funds brought into the community to keep it running during this time of coronavirus.
