Hi, I’m Emmalee Fischer. I started working at Chelsea State Bank in March this year as a Customer Service Representative. I help our customers with all their banking needs including opening new accounts. I love making our customers happy and having them leave with a smile on their face.

Before coming to Chelsea State bank, I worked at Country Market in Dexter for almost 10 years, right outside of high school. Then I worked at the U of M hospital for almost four years. After working at the hospital, I realized I missed working in customer service which is what I enjoy. It is so nice to see familiar faces working at the Bank.

What I love most about my career at Chelsea State Bank are my coworkers because it feels like we are all family! I also like building relationships with my customers. When talking to our customers I will hear my coworkers say “you know everyone” and I reply back with a smile on my face, “I did graduate from Dexter and both Chelsea and Dexter are small towns!” ☺

When there was a position available at the Bank, I wasn’t looking for anything quite yet. But then Nina had reached out to me when she had an opening. She thought of me because of my smiling face. I am so grateful she thought of me and offered me a job! I couldn’t be happier where I am! I also can see myself growing at the Chelsea State Bank!

I graduated from Cleary University with a Bachelor in Business Administration and a Master in Business Management.

I recently got married on June 12. Especially during COVID it was very difficult to plan our wedding, but it turned out amazing and we couldn’t have asked for a better day! We had so many compliments!

Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy helping my husband with his hay business. He always laughs and tells everyone he doesn’t have a seat on the tractor anymore that I took it over!

• Favorite holiday: My favorite holiday is Christmas because I love seeing all the different Christmas lights and decorating my house. Also, I love spending time with the family.
• Favorite playlist: I love most music, but I would have to say lately I have been listening to a lot of country!
• Current books: I haven’t read lately but I do love the books by Lauren McDaniel.
• What area: I currently live in Grass Lake and have been here for 2 years. Eventually we will try and find something back in our hometown of Dexter or even Chelsea.
• Family including pets: I live in Grass Lake with my husband Chris and we have a 2 year old chocolate lab named Gunner. He is our baby and he goes almost everywhere with us!
• Also, my favorite color is purple!
