Benjamin Franklin once said that “if you want something done, ask a busy person.”
Meet Teresa Beegle, Compliance and BSA Officer for Chelsea State Bank…and a very busy person! For anyone who has had the opportunity to work with Teresa, they know she is always busy, upbeat, and she gets things done!
Teresa has been with Chelsea State Bank for five years. She has worked in multiple roles at the Bank, including a Customer Service Representative, Loan Accountant, Fraud Specialist, Marketing Specialist, and now as Compliance and BSA Officer.
“In my current role, I ensure that all regulatory and legal requirements are being met. I also help investigate fraud situations,” says Teresa. “I love knowing that what I do every day makes a difference in the lives of so many in our community.”
Teresa also appreciates that the people she works with also make a difference in her life. “I love the relationships that I have built while working here in the Bank, both with my coworkers and customers. I appreciate everything about being a member of the CSB family! I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from so many amazing people during my time here and have created many awesome friendships in the process.”
While fulfilling her roles at the Bank, Teresa was also studying for her bachelor’s degree and graduated from Siena Heights University with a degree in Business Administration. She received her certification as a Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer. And most recently graduated from the MBA Perry Schools of Banking after completing the three-year program.
Outside of the office, Teresa is the Treasurer for the Waterloo Area Historical Society. She also volunteers annually with the CSB team clerking for the Chelsea Fair Livestock Auction. “It is such an exciting, fast-paced environment, and our team has so much fun!”
Teresa explains that she worked for several years in Chelsea prior to joining the Bank, and always respected CSB and the Bank’s role in the community. “When Jackie Schiller offered me the opportunity to join the team, I leapt at the chance! I am very proud to work for a company that gives so much back to the community in which it is located. The Bank staff is like a huge family, and our customers are treated like family as well!”
